The evaluator is obligated to discuss the evaluation with each employee who has received a less than average rating. An employee has the right to attach a rebuttal to his/her evaluation. The word "under protest" and "rebuttal attached" should be written under the employee's signature. In any case, you must sign your evaluation indicating that you have read it. All reports must be read and signed by the evaluator before you sign.
Evaluations play an important role in determining future promotions, etc. Please consult with your Shop Steward should you have any problems regarding an evaluation.
