DISTRICT COUNCIL 37 EDUCATION FUND

The programs and services of the District Council 37 Education Fund are numerous, and can be divided into several broad categories which include basic skills, career development/skill enhancement programs, safety and health, tuition reimbursement and support services.

Members from various locals participate throughout the year in courses ranging from single section classes meeting for a few sessions to mammoth test preparation classes offered to thousands in many locations throughout the City.

The contractual agreement with CUNY provides free tuition for all Local 384 members. New employees have to wait a specific period of time depending on their title before applying for a tuition waiver. Members will be required to pay consolidated fees (i.e., registration fees, activity fees, etc.).

These fees may be reimbursed in keeping with the District Council 37 Education Fund tuition reimbursement guidelines. Tuition waivers can be obtained from the Personnel Office at the College in which you are employed.
