Please be advised that computers which are the property of CUNY should not be used by any member of Local 384 for personal use. In addition, e-mail(s) SHOULD NOT be sent to any executive officer(s), shop steward(s) or member of Local 384 using a CUNY e-mail address. Therefore, any e-mail received from any Local 384 member to any officer(s) or shop steward(s) of Local 384 WILL NOT BE RESPONDED TO.
Effective JANUARY 2007 any member, in order to fill the remainder of the
unexpired term of Shop Steward, will be REQUIRED to have taken a General
Shop Steward
Training Class and have RECEIVED a Shop Steward certificate.
The Advanced Shop Steward class meets on Tuesday evenings and the General Shop Steward class meets on Thursday evenings. The prerequisite for the Advanced Shop Steward class is that you must have completed the General Shop Steward class. Both classes will meet for six consecutive weeks from 6:00 pm to 8:30pm, and will take place at Union Headquarters, 125 Barclay Street in Room 200. Congratulation to all of the members who started to use the Website for current information, especially during the Contract Negotiations. Our Website was the hottest site in town.
The members of Local 384 are still responsible for providing the web team the correct information for our website. Help keep the website current by submitting any information you wish to share that is of importance to you. All information you would like to have included on the site should be submitted to your Shop Steward.
